Professor Charles Soludo, Governor of Anambra State, elected in the just-concluded gubernatorial polls, took time out to honor the memory of three respectable police officers who bravely defended the electoral process but did not fulfill their active duty.

Unknown gunmen killed officers during a rally at the town hall in his hometown, so he decided to dedicate the just-concluded gubernatorial election to the fallen heroes.

Speaking to the public this morning after he was declared elected governor of the state, he stressed that it was his victorious call to remember all killed officers who abided by the law.

He prayed that the officer’s soul would continue to rest with the Lord and praised the Federal Government for allowing the people of the state to make their own choices during the Anambra elections.

The governor said the election tested the integrity of federal institutions, noting the tensions created by parties firmly stating that the ticket for 2021 is theirs he praised the judiciary, which he said embodied the integrity of practice and operated without compromise.
