Anambra South Idemili local government official, Dr. Gabriel Otong, said 41 of the 42 results sheets for 89 polling stations were taken away on carts Otong of the University of Calabar released the information Sunday in Aqua, presenting the results of the election for governor of Anambra in the area.

The returning officer claimed that the polling station inspector (SPO) stationed in the area had taken with them the poll records from the affected polling stations.

There were no elections in Oba I, Oba II, and Akukwu in Idemili State’s Southern Local Government, he said One of the SPOs transported 41 results sheets from 42 sheets destined for 89 polling stations in the affected wards.

“More than 40,000 voters were unable to vote in the affected areas due to development,” he said the returning officer said some of the polling stations did not receive the deployment of election officials due to the firearms incidents.

An All Progressive Congress (APC) agent, head of Where Obiakor, said there had been elections in those places, but the results were not compared but the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) agent, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, denied the APC agent’s position, saying that none of the affected locations had an election.

Senator Victor Ume of the Grand Alliance of All Progressives (APGA) reiterated Obiogbolu’s position, insisting that there were no elections in the area, meanwhile, according to the results of the three leading political parties published for South Idemili, LGA, APC – 1036, APGA – 2312 and PDP-2016.

The LGA has 112,652 voters, of which only 6,622 voters have been accredited.
