Some injured members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bauchi state attacked the national party secretariat in Abuja yesterday, demanding the quick interference of the chairman of the interim party committee and Yobe state governor Mai Mala Buni in the alleged imposition of the chairman of state at the recent state convention.

A spokesman for the affected members, Mr. Maigari Ishaku, addressed reporters and urged all APC stakeholders in Bauchi State to speak out against the alleged injustice protesters also accused Education Minister, Mr. Adam Adamu of the imposition, warning that if development is not stopped, APC will lose the state again in 2023.

Ishaku argued that the same people behind the current appointment are responsible for the emergence of the government of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

He stated: “We urge Chairman Buni to come and intervene in a participating State because Buni stands for honesty; his legacy can neither be defeated nor undermined.

“Secondly, not only Booney, we know that there are APC stakeholders there, but for one reason or another, they do not want to go out and solve the problem. Please let them come out of their shells. ”
