The Anambra state government has increased the alarm over a claimed connivance to arrest its officials on trumped-up charges as collusion to minimize the chances of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Saturday’s elections.
In a press release from the Anambra State Government, signed by the Commissioner for Information and Education, Mr. K. Don Adinuba, it is said that the conspiracy was developed by an unnamed political party.
He said that some members of an unnamed political party were planning to use a government tool to carry out their conspiracy, even without the knowledge of state security chiefs.

State elections have been very free and fair over the past few years. We will continue to do our best to maintain a new tradition of free and fair polling. ”
